Argentina promotes regional tourism through new congresses and municipal coordination

Various regional initiatives are underway in Argentina to bolster the tourism sector through coordination and specialized events. In Luján de Cuyo, the first National Sports Tourism Congress will be held at the INTA facilities on September 3 and 4. The event aims to connect public and private sectors to promote sports, gastronomy, and local economic development.

In the Entre Ríos province, the Provincial Tourism Commission (Coprotur) met with representatives from 28 municipalities to coordinate responses to water management challenges caused by El Niño. Discussions focused on diversifying tourism offerings and providing economic relief to the private sector, including tax reductions and energy financing.

Additionally, the cities of Paraná and Santa Fe have launched the 32nd Meeting of Tourist Municipalities, titled ‘Two Cities, One Destination’. This initiative seeks to strengthen regional integration and promote joint tourism programs to drive economic activity and job creation between the two capitals.
