Paraná school construction project to begin in October

Construction of 40 new state schools under the PPP Mais Escolas Paraná public-private partnership program is scheduled to begin in October. The project has officially entered the execution phase following the issuance of an ‘Ordem de Início’ on August 7, which authorized the concessionaire to begin preliminary work on the sites.

The initiative marks the start of a 20-year concession period. The project involves the construction, operation, and maintenance of the new facilities, which will include 692 classrooms and have the capacity to serve more than 25,000 students.

Preliminary activities, such as land clearing, soil testing, and the development of architectural and engineering projects, will commence following the fulfillment of contractual requirements. These requirements included technical expertise verification, insurance presentation, land transfer, and the structuring of financial guarantees.
