Paraná secured more than R$ 107 billion in federal New PAC funding as state officials praise ongoing development

The Brazilian federal government announced that the New PAC will allocate R$ 107.2 billion nationwide, with R$ 6.8 billion earmarked for the state of Paraná. The funding covers major road projects such as the Contorno Leste de Guaíra (BR‑163) and BR‑487, expansion of health facilities, new housing under the Minha Casa Minha Vida program, and investments in education, digital connectivity, water supply, sustainable urban infrastructure and renewable energy. The program also targets innovation for defense industry and increased 5G coverage.

In a political rally in Piraquara, PSD pre‑candidate Sandro Alex highlighted the state's recent economic performance and pledged to maintain the pace of infrastructure works launched by Governor Ratinho Junior. He asserted that Paraná now has “the highest volume of public works in Brazil” and emphasized the attraction of billions in private investment, the growth of the agribusiness and manufacturing sectors, and direct state spending of roughly R$ 530 million in the municipality since 2019.
