Paraná soybean exports rise 8% in early 2026 as port prices hold steady

The state of Paraná exported 6.72 million tonnes of soybeans and related products in the first five months of 2026, an 8 % increase over the same period in 2025. Soybeans in the grain form accounted for 71 % of the shipments, with soymeal at 24 % and soybean oil at 5 %, the latter posting the strongest proportional growth. Export earnings reached about US$2.94 billion, up 18 % year‑on‑year, boosting the state’s trade balance.

Across Brazil, total soy complex exports hit 66.2 million tonnes and generated US$27.62 billion during the same period, a 7 % volume rise and 15 % revenue increase. Domestic market prices reflected strong export demand: the 60‑kg sack traded at R$134.50 in Santos, R$134.00 in Paranaguá and R$133.00 in Rio Grande, while interior prices were lower, ranging from R$124 to R$121 depending on the region. The price pattern underscores the premium attached to port facilities and the continued stability of Brazil’s soy market.
