Paraná State announces new concessions and environmental infrastructure projects

The State of Paraná has launched several initiatives aimed at infrastructure development and environmental management. The Agency for Metropolitan Affairs (Amep) published a public notice for the concession of the Pedreira do Atuba in Colombo. The project aims to transform the site into a hub for ecotourism, sports, and culture, featuring climbing areas, a science and research space for geology, and various leisure facilities. The concession will last 30 years, with a minimum bid set at R$ 300,000.

In the coastal region, the State Secretariat for Sustainable Development (Sedest) is preparing to install 23 floating structures in Paranaguá and Guaraqueçaba. Funded by a R$ 30.9 million settlement from Petrobras, these platforms are intended to support environmental monitoring, improve access for traditional communities, and facilitate ecological tourism within conservation units.

Additionally, the public consultation period for the Guaratuba Nautical Complex concession has been extended until October 30. The project involves a private investment of R$ 110 million for construction and maintenance over 30 years. It is expected to generate 1,425 jobs during the construction phase and 695 jobs during operation, with a minimum grant of R$ 1.4 million plus 0.5% of operational revenue.
