Paraná tests Israeli drone neutralization technology
The Paraná State Government, through the State Secretariat of Public Security (SESP), has begun testing Israeli technology designed to identify, monitor, and neutralize unauthorized drones. The evaluation of the Sentrycs system is taking place at the Guatupê Military Police Academy in São José dos Pinhais.
Presented by the company M1, the equipment utilizes radio frequency technology to detect remotely piloted aircraft. The system can identify critical data such as location, altitude, speed, and the position of the operator. Under certain conditions, the technology allows authorities to take control of unauthorized drones and direct them to a safe landing without destroying them.
Public Security Secretary Hudson Leôncio Teixeira stated that the evaluation of new technologies is part of a modernization strategy for state security forces. The system is intended to protect strategic areas, monitor sensitive locations, and enhance security during large-scale events and police operations.
