Vicente López senior recreation center renovation advances

The municipality of Vicente López has begun the second phase of works on its Centro Recreativo de Adultos Mayores. The upgrades include redesigning the main entrance, adding new turnstiles, improving the ambulance access, renovating the façade, reorganising vehicle circulation and creating additional green spaces. The project aims to enhance accessibility and comfort for the more than 850 daily senior users.

Mayor Soledad Martínez inspected the site and emphasized that the centre is one of the few sports‑recreation facilities in Buenos Aires Province dedicated exclusively to people over 60. The centre already offers over 35 activities such as swimming, yoga, tennis, chess, tango and language classes, which will continue operating while construction proceeds. The first phase, completed in August 2025, added new classrooms, locker rooms, a library, a buffet area and a fully refurbished multipurpose hall.
