Paraná weather shifts from severe storms to heat wave
The state of Paraná is experiencing significant weather volatility. On Thursday, Fazenda Rio Grande, located in the Curitiba Metropolitan Region, recorded heavy storms with wind gusts reaching 61.6 km/h and 26.2 mm of rainfall. More than 170 municipalities in the state have been placed under windstorm alerts.
Following these storms, a sharp weather shift is expected. After initial instability and isolated rains in the southern region, temperatures are projected to rise significantly. By Sunday, stable weather and temperatures exceeding 30°C are forecast for the West and Northwest regions. This heat wave, driven by the movement of a cold front, is expected to keep temperatures 3°C to 5°C above the seasonal average through next Wednesday.
