Paranaguá announces R$ 330 million infrastructure investment plan

Paranaguá is set to undergo significant urban mobility and infrastructure transformations through a R$ 330 million investment plan. The project is a joint effort involving the State Government, the City of Paranaguá, and the concessionaire EPR Litoral Pioneiro.

The investment package aims to address long-standing logistical challenges caused by heavy truck traffic from the port and physical barriers like railways and rivers. Key projects include the construction of a viaduct on Avenida Roque Vernalha to alleviate railway-related congestion, the revitalization of Avenida Senador Attílio Fontana, concrete paving for 14 strategic streets near the Port of Paranaguá, and resurfacing for 62 roads. Additionally, improvements are planned for BR-277 and the revitalization of the Historic Waterfront.
