Parasite Patrol Tour to host agricultural workshop in Wisconsin

The Parasite Patrol Tour, a multi-state educational program, is scheduled to visit Outagamie County, Wisconsin, on Friday, Sept. 25. The workshop, held at Osborn Town Hall, is a collaborative effort between Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension.

Designed for sheep and goat producers, the program addresses the growing challenge of parasite resistance to traditional deworming treatments. The workshop aims to teach science-based strategies to help producers move away from calendar-based deworming toward more informed, cost-effective decisions.

Participants will engage in both classroom learning and practical demonstrations, including how to use fecal egg counts to manage animal health. The event requires advance registration and costs $30.
