Parauapebas allocates R$ 100,000 to support international karate athletes

The municipality of Parauapebas has announced financial support for local athletes to participate in the 6th WKMO Open World Karate Cup. Through the Municipal Secretariat of Sport and Leisure (Semel), the city has allocated R$ 100,000 to the Association Parauapebense Esportiva, Educacional de Ciclismo, Atletismo, Artes Marciais, Esporte, Cultura e Natação (ASPEECAM) to execute the project.

This initiative aims to promote athlete exchange, encourage high performance, and establish Parauapebas as a reference in competitive sports support. Local officials stated that the investment is intended to provide opportunities for athletes to represent the municipality on an international stage while using sports as a tool for social inclusion and discipline.
