Parauapebas Firefighters partner with Human Milk Bank

The Military Firefighters Corps of Pará has established a technical cooperation agreement with the Human Milk Bank (BLH) of Parauapebas. This partnership, part of the ‘Bombeiros da Vida’ project, aims to strengthen maternal-infant health by expanding the home collection network for breast milk.

The initiative provides logistical support to transport donated milk safely and quickly to hospitals, specifically benefiting premature and low-weight newborns. To ensure technical rigor and biosafety, health professionals, primary care representatives, and military personnel from Parauapebas and Belém have undergone integrated training regarding breastfeeding management and milk transport protocols.
