Parcul Liniei Phase III expands with new section opening in Bucharest

The Sector 6 City Hall is inaugurating a new section of Phase III of Parcul Liniei, specifically the stretch between Lujerului and Moinești, on August 29 and 30, 2026. The project, which began in July 2025, covers an area of 81,500 square meters and spans approximately 3 kilometers along a former railway line.

The new area features various amenities including sports fields, a skatepark, a calisthenics zone, a bicycle track, walking paths, and a dry deck fountain. To celebrate the opening, the administration has organized community activities such as creative workshops for children, face painting, interactive shows, and a ‘Cinema under the Stars’ event.

Local police will be present during the weekend to ensure public order and manage traffic flow around the new community space.
