Parenting and child development initiatives held in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Amra Imširagić will present her new book, ‘Kako odgojiti dijete da ne ispadne poput mog’ (How to Raise a Child So They Don't Turn Out Like Mine), at the Bosnian Cultural Center in Tuzla on September 10, 2026. The event aims to offer parents a perspective on upbringing based on expertise and the understanding of children's needs. The evening will also feature a discussion of her previous works regarding teacher authority and psychological well-being.

In Croatia, the Dubrovnik Libraries have launched a series of five professional workshops titled ‘Challenges of Growing Up and Maturing in Modern Society’. Led by social worker and gestalt psychotherapist Marko Grgurević, the cycle focuses on mental health, the impact of digital technology, and violence prevention. The inaugural session addressed the distinction between biological growth and emotional maturity, noting that emotional development often continues until the mid-twenties.
