Parents seek new strategies to manage stress and reclaim evening downtime

Caregivers and working parents are increasingly seeking ways to manage high stress levels and reclaim evening downtime. Data from the American Psychological Association indicates that 48% of parents describe their everyday stress as overwhelming, a significantly higher rate than the 26% reported by adults without children.

To combat the exhaustion caused by multitasking and domestic responsibilities, many parents are shifting away from nightly alcohol consumption, which can disrupt restorative sleep. Instead, there is a growing trend toward using natural plant-based options and herbal infusions to promote calm and mental clarity.

Additionally, managing household workloads through shared responsibilities or professional assistance, such as cleaning services, is being highlighted as a practical method for working mothers to reduce weeknight pressure and create more meaningful family time.
