Paris 15 construction integrates RE2020 and energy performance

New construction projects in Paris 15 are increasingly focused on integrating the RE2020 environmental regulations with energy performance and user comfort. In dense urban environments, developers must balance compactness and natural light with the need for low-carbon materials and energy efficiency.

The RE2020 standard, overseen by the Ministry of Ecological Transition, extends beyond thermal requirements to include the carbon footprint of construction materials. Additionally, the new energy performance certificate (DPE) is linked to RE2020 documentation and must be provided upon completion of works, strengthening the connection between initial design and long-term building operation.
