Paris Baguette to raise prices on 127 items by average 5%

Paris Baguette, operated by Sangmidang Holdings, announced it will increase the prices of 127 items by an average of 5.0% starting on the 25th. The price adjustments affect 86 types of bread and 41 types of cakes and desserts. This marks the first major price hike for the brand in 18 months, following a brief period of price reductions earlier this year.

Specific price changes include the Sangmi-jong white bread rising from 3,900 won to 4,100 won (5.1%), Castella increasing from 2,400 won to 2,500 won (4.2%), and the My Number One Cake rising from 35,000 won to 36,000 won (2.9%). The company stated the adjustment is unavoidable due to rising raw material and various operational costs. However, budget-friendly products launched earlier this year, such as the 990 won and 1,990 won bread lines, will remain at their current prices.

This move follows similar price hikes within the bakery and donut sectors. Dunkin', operated by BR Korea, recently increased prices on 39 items by an average of 6.5%, and Tous Les Jours increased prices on 76 items by an average of 8.2% last month.
