Paris cultural events: Science festivals and international theatre

Paris is hosting a variety of cultural and scientific events throughout late 2026. The 35th edition of the Fête de la Science will take place from October 2 to 12, offering free activities across Paris and the Île-de-France region. Participating institutions include Université Paris Cité, which is hosting 80 free events, and Sorbonne Université. Medical research insights will be provided by Saint-Louis and Lariboisière hospitals. Additionally, the Parc aux étoiles and the Archéa museum will offer workshops.

In the performing arts, the Australian company Back to Back Theatre will present 'Food Court' at the Odéon – Théâtre de l'Europe from December 4 to 19. The production features live improvisations by the musical trio The Necks and explores themes of harassment. Other notable upcoming performances in the city include acrobatic shows by Gravity & Other Myths at La Villette and a hip-hop version of 'The Nutcracker' at Théâtre Libre.
