Japanese esports team UNLIMIT—comprising players Yulariman, Xtsuvi and Peace with coach Yona—won the Apex Legends Global Series 2026 Split 1 Playoffs held at the Esports World Cup in Paris. The all‑Japanese roster became the first to capture the ALGS championship, defeating fellow Japanese team Zeta Division in the final after a comeback that saw them secure match‑point on map 7 and then claim two consecutive championship wins. The tournament featured 40 international teams and was hailed as a milestone for the APAC North region and Japan’s esports growth. Peace was named tournament MVP, recording 39 eliminations, 35 assists and 50 knockdowns. In the same event, team REJECT finished 11th and discussed its progress, while the World Cup itself has been described as “the Wimbledon of esports.”
