Paris Fashion Week faces major creative director shifts

The French fashion industry is experiencing significant leadership shifts ahead of the Paris Fashion Week spring-summer 2027 women's session, scheduled for September 28 to October 6, 2026.

A major development involves Olivier Rousteing, who recently took over as the artistic director of Rabanne on July 14. Rousteing, who previously led Balmain for nearly fifteen years, succeeds Julien Dossena. His first collection for the house, owned by Puig, is expected in March 2027. Ana Trias, president of Puig’s prestige and fashion division, described the appointment as “natural.”

Other notable movements include Jonathan Anderson, who is currently directing Dior and is planning an event at Trinity College in Dublin for autumn 2027.
