Ligue 1: Paris FC and Rennes face off in seventh round

Paris FC hosts Stade Rennais at Stade Jean Bouin for a seventh-round Ligue 1 fixture. The match follows a period of mixed results for both clubs; Paris FC recently suffered a 1-0 defeat to Lorient, while Rennes enters the match with momentum following a 4-1 win over Auxerre and a Europa League victory against OFI Crete.

Stade Rennais coach Franck Haise has made notable squad decisions, notably leaving defender Quentin Merlin out of the traveling group to play with the reserve team. Meanwhile, Paris FC features Brazilian defender Otávio, a former Flamengo youth player, as a key component of their defense.

In other Ligue 1 action, Lorient secured a 1-0 victory over Monaco, causing Monaco to relinquish its lead at the top of the table to Paris Saint-Germain. Additionally, Le Havre faced Auxerre in a critical relegation battle, resulting in a 3-1 win for Auxerre.
