Paris Hill receives Ron Herndon Head Start Parent Scholarship

Paris Hill, of Sunbelt Human Advancement Resources in Greenville, South Carolina, has been awarded the Ron Herndon Head Start Parent Scholarship by the National Head Start Association. The scholarship recognizes parents who demonstrate exceptional community involvement.

Hill utilized the program to navigate challenges such as job loss and childcare shortages during the pandemic. Through the program, she participated in financial literacy classes and parent committee meetings. The $2,500 scholarship supported her pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in applied sciences with a concentration in business management. Having already established herself as a nail technician, Hill is now pursuing a career as a mortician.
