Paris La Défense begins redevelopment to expand cycling paths

Paris La Défense has launched redevelopment works at the entrance of the European business district to improve cycling infrastructure. The project, located near the Ibis and Novotel hotels, aims to create a continuous connection between the new Neuilly bridge cycle path and the Boulevard Patrick Devedjian.

The redevelopment includes the creation of a four-meter wide bidirectional cycle path along the hotel plaza, improved cyclist priority at intersections, and reinforced separation between cycle paths and sidewalks. While the project preserves parking for buses and persons with reduced mobility, it will result in the loss of free parking previously available to motorized two-wheel vehicles. The works are expected to be completed by mid-November.
