Paris Metro Line 12 Closed for Eleven Days Starting July 16

From Thursday, 16 July 2026, the Paris Metro line 12 will be split in two, with service suspended between Jules‑Joffrin and Concorde for eleven days. All trains will stop running on the central section, affecting ten stations: Jules‑Joffrin, Lamarck‑Caulaincourt, Abbesses, Pigalle, Saint‑Georges, Notre‑Dame‑de‑Lorette, Trinité‑d’Estienne‑d’Orves, Saint‑Lazare, Madeleine and Concorde. Trains will continue to operate on the northern segment (Mairie d’Aubervilliers – Jules‑Joffrin) and the southern segment (Concorde – Mairie d’Issy).

The interruption, intended to prepare the line for new MF19 rolling stock, will force commuters and tourists to use alternative metro lines or the reinforced bus routes 42, 60 and 80. The RATP advises passengers to check itineraries throughout the summer, as other lines (e.g., line 4 and several RER C branches) also face temporary closures.
