Paris Orly Airport runway closure to cause flight cancellations through 2026

Paris Orly Airport has announced the closure of Runway 4 for refurbishment works, a project scheduled to continue until December 17, 2026. The upgrades include renovating pavements, upgrading lighting, and improving aircraft stands.

The closure is expected to result in the cancellation or diversion of approximately 3,000 flights, averaging 750 affected flights per month. EasyJet has confirmed it was requested to cancel flights between August 10 and October 24, impacting services to and from several UK locations, including London, Gatwick, Edinburgh, and Newcastle.

Paris Aéroport stated that some flights will be transferred to Paris-Charles de Gaulle during the construction period. Other airlines impacted by the works include Air Algérie, Iberia, Pegasus, KM Malta Airlines, RAM, and Tunisair.
