Paris leads European ranking for top workcation destinations

A new study by Compare the Market has identified the top European cities for “workcations” — a trend where professionals combine remote work with leisure travel. The ranking evaluated destinations based on several factors, including fixed and mobile internet speeds, the availability of coworking spaces, accommodation costs, local attractions, and the price of coffee and beer.

Paris secured the top spot in Europe with a score of 63.4 out of 100. The French capital is noted for having the best fixed broadband speeds in Europe and a high number of cultural attractions, ranking second only to Rome. However, the study highlighted that Paris is among the most expensive destinations regarding accommodation and the cost of a cappuccino.

Lisbon follows in second place with a score of 61.2, bolstered by its reputation as an affordable destination for remote workers and its vibrant cafe culture. London ranks third with 60 points, benefiting from extensive infrastructure and a high density of coworking spaces, though it also faces high living costs.
