Paris Saint‑Germain celebrates second straight Champions League win

Paris Saint‑Germain (PSG) secured a second consecutive Champions League title, defeating Arsenal on penalties. The triumph prompted massive celebrations in Paris, where more than 100,000 fans gathered at the Champ de Mars beneath the Eiffel Tower. The team was received by French President Emmanuel Macron at the Hall of the Elysée, and later paraded through the city before a final festivity at Parc des Princes.

While the festivities were largely festive, isolated riots broke out across several French cities after the final. Police reported 219 injuries (including eight serious), 780 arrests and the death of a 20‑year‑old man whose motorcycle collided with concrete barriers. French officials condemned the violence as "unacceptable" and called for calm.

UEFA also announced its Team of the Season, featuring five PSG players – Ousmane Dembélé, Marcin Kowalczyk, Victor Kvaratskheliya, Kylian Mbappé and others – highlighting the club’s dominant performance throughout the campaign.
