Paris Saint-Germain defeats Manchester City 4-2 in Champions League
Paris Saint-Germain secured a 4-2 victory against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in a UEFA Champions League league-phase match. PSG dominated the first half, establishing a 3-0 lead through goals from Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé, and Vitinha.
Manchester City attempted a comeback in the second half led by Erling Haaland, who scored twice. Haaland’s performance also made him the youngest player to reach 60 Champions League goals. However, Maghnes Akliouche scored a fourth goal for PSG to seal the win. Despite the loss, City manager Enzo Maresca noted the team's reaction, while PSG manager Luis Enrique acknowledged his team was fortunate to maintain the lead.
Following the match, Manchester City prepares to face Ipswich Town in the Premier League. City fans have recently revived a tradition of using inflatable bananas in the stadium as a show of defiance and club history.
