Paris Saint-Germain spends over 100 million euros on new signings

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is undergoing a significant squad reconstruction ahead of the 2026/27 Ligue 1 season. The club has demonstrated high spending power in the transfer market, securing two major offensive signings for a combined total exceeding 100 million euros in just two days.

Spanish international Ferran Torres has officially joined PSG from Barcelona on a deal lasting until 2031. The transfer is valued at approximately 50 million euros. Additionally, the club has reached an agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Belgian player Mike Godts for 55 million euros.

These acquisitions bring PSG's summer spending for five new players to nearly 200 million euros, following previous signings including Magnes Akliush, Zion Suzuki, and Lucas Digne. This aggressive financial activity highlights the growing economic gap between PSG and other French clubs, who face revenue challenges due to domestic television rights issues.
