Paris Saint-Germain targets Celta Vigo defender Javi Rodríguez

Paris Saint-Germain is actively managing its squad during the final days of the summer transfer window. The club is targeting Celta Vigo defender Javi Rodríguez as a potential long-term successor to Marquinhos. Rodríguez, a 23-year-old Spanish international, has a release clause estimated between 18 and 40 million euros. While PSG has made inquiries, no official offer has been submitted as of yet.

In addition to defensive reinforcements, the club is looking toward the Lyon talent pool, specifically identifying 17-year-old Adil Hamdani and Malick Fofana as potential targets. The club is also managing the departure of Bradley Barcola to Liverpool in a deal worth approximately 140 million euros.

Regarding player retention, PSG is working on a long-term contract extension for Désiré Doué, aiming to secure him until 2031. There is also interest in signing his brother, Guéla Doué from Strasbourg, to bolster the right-back position. On the pitch, the team is preparing for a Ligue 1 fixture against Lille following the recent debut of Ferran Torres.
