Paris Saint-Germain wins 2026 UEFA Super Cup
Paris Saint-Germain secured the 2026 UEFA Super Cup with a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa in Salzburg. Goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué secured the title for the French champions, while 17-year-old Brian Madjo scored the equalizer for Villa, making him the youngest scorer in the history of the competition.
Following this European success, PSG is preparing for the French Super Cup (Trophée des Champions) against Lens on August 16. The club has also been highly active in the transfer market, spending approximately 162 million euros to strengthen its squad with players such as Maghnes Akliouche, Lucas Digne, Ferran Torres, and Mika Godts. These moves aim to provide depth for Luis Enrique’s squad as they pursue further domestic and international titles.
In domestic news, PSG's young talent Khalil Ayari has been loaned to Dunkerque to gain more playing time and address technical feedback regarding his individualistic playstyle.
