Paris to Host 2026 International Space Summit on Orbital Management

Paris will host the International Space Summit on 9–10 September 2026 at the Grand Palais. The two‑day conference will bring together heads of state, space agencies, scientists, military officials, astronauts and private industry representatives from around the world. The agenda focuses on the growing challenges of low‑Earth‑orbit congestion, including megaconstellations that saturate orbital slots, the need for coordinated frequency sharing, and the management of space debris that threatens existing infrastructure. Organisers aim to develop shared principles to guide future activity in an increasingly crowded sky. France is positioning itself as a facilitator, appointing former astronaut Thomas Pesquet and space entrepreneur Hélène Huby as special envoys to underscore the country’s commitment to cooperative space governance.
