Paris to host inaugural Champagne Week in October 2026

Paris will host the first edition of Champagne Week from October 19 to 25, 2026. Organized by the Comité Champagne—an interprofessional body representing over 16,000 winegrowers and 350 Champagne Houses—the event aims to showcase the diversity of the wine's terroirs, styles, and craftsmanship.

Participating establishments, including restaurants, bars, hotels, and cellars, will offer various activities such as tastings, food pairings, workshops, and themed menus ranging from brunches to tea times. The initiative seeks to reposition champagne beyond its traditional association with major celebrations and formal occasions.

The week serves as a precursor to International Champagne Day on October 23, 2026. Since its inception in 2009, International Champagne Day has become a global event for professionals and enthusiasts to celebrate the French sparkling wine.
