Paris trial reveals details of Donnarumma home jacking
A trial in Paris has revealed harrowing details regarding the July 2023 home jacking of Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and his partner, Alessia Elefante. The victims were attacked in their luxury apartment on Avenue Montaigne while sleeping.
Donnarumma testified that he was woken by an intruder who struck him in the face with a brass knuckle and threatened him with a knife. Elefante, who was pregnant at the time, reported being pulled by her hair and struck on her legs after informing the assailants of her pregnancy. The attackers stole luxury items, including an Audemars Piguet watch, Cartier jewelry, and approximately 2,000 euros in cash. They also took keys to a Mercedes and a Lamborghini.
The court proceedings have been marked by chaos. Defendants Ilyas Kherbouch and Khyan Mamouni, who are accused of orchestrating the robbery from prison, were expelled from the courtroom following verbal altercations and insults directed at police and the judge. The presiding judge described the atmosphere of the hearing as “catastrophic.”
