Parisian art institutions host major contemporary exhibitions

The Louvre Museum is hosting an exhibition by artist Kader Attia in the Salle de la Chapelle, running until December 14, 2026. Attia, alongside Elizabeth Peyton, participated in a residency program from 2024 to summer 2026, where they utilized the museum as a workspace to engage with its collections and staff. Attia’s contribution includes a film, a sculpture, and a series of mirrors that explore his personal and political relationship with the institution.

Separately, the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris is hosting the 2026 Marcel Duchamp Prize exhibition, which runs from October 2 until February 7, 2027. The exhibition features four nominees: Joël Andrianomearisoa, Brognon Rollin, Laura Henno, and Josèfa Ntjam. The winner of the prize, which includes a 90,000 euro endowment, will be announced on October 22 during Paris Art Week.
