Park Budoucnost in Havlíčkův Brod officially opens after revitalization

Park Budoucnost in Havlíčkův Brod is officially opening to the public following the completion of its third and fourth revitalization stages. The reconstruction project focused on the area surrounding the Obora and Hastrman ponds, extending to Prokopa Holého Street. Key improvements include a repaired path network using eco-friendly surfaces to aid rainwater infiltration, updated public lighting with adjusted intensities, and new perennial flower beds.

Infrastructure upgrades include new piers at the Obora pond, stone stairs, and increased seating near the statue of Karel Havlíček Borovský. The opening ceremony on Wednesday, September 16, will feature a diverse program including jazz and swing music by the group The Half, acrobatic performances, and guided tours.

A notable new installation is the Poesiomat, a device that shares the works of Karel Havlíček Borovský through modern slam poetry. The celebration also includes local cultural contributions, such as a special commemorative drink at the nearby Alchymia cafe.
