Park City highlights summer activities and sports officiating improvements

Park City, Utah, offers diverse recreational opportunities beyond its winter sports reputation. During the warmer months, visitors can engage in boating, camping, fishing, and paddleboarding at Jordanelle Reservoir. The area also provides scenic chairlift rides at Deer Valley Resort and extensive mountain biking trails suitable for various skill levels.

In the realm of professional sports, former U.S. Olympian and ski jumper Jessica Jerome is addressing inefficiencies in international ski jumping equipment protocols. While serving as a Technical Delegate Assistant during the Springer Tournee at Utah Olympic Park, Jerome identified inconsistencies in how athlete measurements, such as inseam lengths and BMI data, were recorded. She is advocating for a centralized, reliable system to replace the current fragmented methods of tracking data used to ensure compliance with FIS competition rules.
