Park City manages wildlife collisions and new parking restrictions
Park City authorities are addressing safety concerns related to wildlife and increased seasonal traffic. The Park City Police Department has reported several recent wildlife-related incidents, including collisions on S. R. 224 involving deer and elk. Officers have also been tasked with corralling herds and assisting state wildlife officials with animal carcasses.
Simultaneously, Park City Municipal has implemented new “No Parking Zone” signage along Guardsman Pass Road near the Bonanza Flat Conservation Area. This measure aims to manage the influx of visitors arriving for fall foliage. Under a recently adopted fee schedule, egregious parking violations may result in penalties of up to $300, and vehicles parked on the roadway or shoulder may be ticketed or towed.
