Park Geon Roung, Baby Shark star, celebrates 18th birthday

Park Geon Roung, who was eight years old when he appeared as the lead child in the "Baby Shark" music video released a decade ago, has turned 18. The video, produced by South Korean creators, has surpassed 17 billion views on YouTube and became a global phenomenon, turning Park into one of South Korea’s most noted child stars at the time.

Now an adult, Park shows a markedly different appearance – taller, with a clear, bright face – and continues to pursue performing arts. He remains active on social media, posting dance covers of popular K‑pop groups, modeling, acting in stage productions and recently trying his hand as an MC. His Instagram account follows more than 155,000 users, and he has expressed a desire to eventually join the professional entertainment industry.
