Park Jae-hong, CBS announcer, recovering from cerebral infarction
CBS radio announcer Park Jae-hong has revealed that his recent 20-day absence from his program, ‘Park Jae-hong’s Hanpan Seungbu’, was due to a cerebral infarction. Park shared the news via social media, explaining that he collapsed while exercising on a track on the night of August 22.
Following an emergency room visit and an MRI, medical professionals initially assessed his condition as serious. However, Park reported that thanks to treatment at Samsung Medical Center, his language skills, memory, and sensory functions have fully recovered. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation to restore his motor functions.
Park expressed his intention to return to broadcasting around the Chuseok holiday, though he noted that the exact timing remains subject to medical advice and the judgment of the CBS production team. He shared his experience to prevent speculation regarding his unusual absence from the show, which he has hosted for five years.
