Park Ji-sung praises Lee Kang-in as South Korea’s most technical player

In an interview with the Spanish outlet Marca, Park highlighted Lee's potential to become a world-class talent following his move to Atletico Madrid.

Park noted that Lee, who has inherited the number 7 jersey previously worn by Antoine Griezmann, possesses the long-term potential to become a club legend. Rather than seeking to be a successor to Griezmann, Park expressed hope that Lee will establish his own unique identity on the global stage, drawing parallels to Son Heung-min’s historic achievements in the Premier League.

The two share a long-standing connection dating back to when Lee was six years old and participated in a commercial shoot with Park. Park recalled that even then, Lee’s talent and passion were evident, suggesting his current success was a predictable outcome of his early potential.
