Park Ji-won urges Cho Kuk to moderate criticism of Lee administration
Democratic Party of Korea lawmaker Park Ji-won has urged Cho Kuk, director of the Rebuilding Korea Party's Innovation Policy Research Institute, to moderate his recent criticisms of the Lee Jae-myung administration.
Park, who characterized Cho as a self-proclaimed ‘red team’ providing critical feedback, warned that Cho's current political stance could lead to long-term burdens. Park expressed concern that internal friction within the progressive camp could inadvertently empower conservative forces during a critical period for national reform.
Cho Kuk has maintained that his role is to point out errors to ensure the success of the administration, stating, “To say everything is good without criticism is actually what ruins a government.” Cho has recently raised issues regarding the prosecution of Lee Jae-myung and called for apologies from the Democratic Party regarding past political disputes.
