Park Soo-hong pauses social media after flight delay controversy

Broadcaster Park Soo-hong has paused his regular YouTube uploads and social media activity following a controversy regarding a flight delay at Incheon International Airport. The incident occurred on July 23 while Park, his wife Kim Da-ye, and their daughter were boarding a Korean Air flight to Guam.

During boarding, Park’s daughter began crying intensely. Park initially informed flight attendants of his intention to disembark to avoid disturbing other passengers, but later reversed this decision once the child calmed down. The process of unloading and reloading checked baggage caused the flight to be delayed by approximately one hour.

Park issued a formal apology via social media, stating he made an “immature judgment” due to panic caused by his child’s distress. While some raised concerns regarding potential celebrity preferential treatment, Korean Air stated that all procedures were handled according to standard protocols and that the family did not actually exit the aircraft before re-boarding.

Following the apology, the couple’s YouTube channel, ‘Park Soo-hong Happy Da-hong,’ missed its scheduled Monday upload without prior notice, leading to speculation regarding a temporary hiatus from public activities.
