Parker Bell suspended for shoving referee in Czech Extraliga
The Czech ice hockey Extraliga disciplinary commission has issued sanctions against Parker Bell and Marko Daňo following recent matches.
Parker Bell, a Canadian forward for České Budějovice, received a two-game suspension. The ruling follows an incident where Bell intentionally shoved referee Adam Kika from behind and used vulgar language. The commission noted that Bell’s history of repeated disciplinary infractions played a role in determining the severity of the punishment.
Additionally, Třinec player Marko Daňo was penalized for simulation. Following contact with an opponent's stick, Daňo fell to the ice and remained in apparent pain for several seconds before heading to the locker room. However, the disciplinary head stated that the fall was a theatrical attempt to exaggerate the situation, noting that the player was not actually injured during the incident.
