Parker Wynk returns to Celina football after spinal injury recovery
Week 8 of the 2026 Ohio high school football season featured several standout performances, most notably the return of Celina senior quarterback Parker Wynk. Following a season-opening spinal injury that resulted in temporary paralysis, Wynk underwent a laminoplasty at Dayton Children’s Hospital to treat spinal stenosis. After rehabilitation at the Wexner Medical Center and Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital at Ohio State University, Wynk participated in pregame senior night festivities and served as a captain for the coin toss during Celina’s 42-0 victory over Lima Bath.
Other notable performances included MJ Macy of Arcanum, who recorded 270 rushing yards and six touchdowns against Northeastern, and Luke Long of North Baltimore, who completed 21 of 25 passes for 347 yards and four touchdowns in a 66-21 win over Cory-Rawson. Additionally, Cincinnati McNicholas’ Max Orlando became the first player in his program's history to record an offensive touchdown, a defensive touchdown, and force three turnovers in a single game.
