Parking management updates announced in Valbondione and Galliate

In Valbondione, authorities have announced details regarding free parking passes for 2025 and 2026. Residents and second-home owners are eligible for free passes, which allow for free parking in designated areas from June 1 to October 31. Starting in 2026, passes for residents and homeowners will remain valid indefinitely unless changes to vehicle or residency status are reported to the Turismo Valbondione office. Physical passes must be presented for modifications or replacements.

In Galliate, a new Smart Parking system for the underground parking lot in Piazza Vittorio Veneto will officially launch on November 3, 2026. The system features automatic license plate recognition for subscribers and EasyPark users, as well as QR code access. While traditional ticketing remains available, new automated machines will support credit cards, debit cards, contactless payments, coins, and banknotes. The facility will maintain 24-hour access with 120 spaces, and the first 45 minutes of parking will remain free.
