Parking regulations expand in Bilbao and Cádiz

Bilbao is extending its regulated parking area (OTA) to the Zorrotza district starting November 16. Residents of Zorrotza Norte or Zorrotza Sur can now apply for resident permits via the municipal website, the Citizen Service Office, or the District Municipal Center. The annual fee for the permit is 50 euros, or a prorated amount by quarter. To qualify, residents must be registered at the same address as the vehicle, unless the vehicle is under a renting or leasing agreement.

In Cádiz, regulated parking continues to expand across various neighborhoods. The system utilizes orange, green, and blue zones with different rules for visitors and residents. In orange zones, visitors pay a fee of 1.20 euros per hour with a typical three-hour limit. Green zones are reserved for authorized residents. Residents with permits can park in orange or green zones within their designated area, though they are prohibited from parking in the same spot for more than five consecutive days.
