Parks in Fujinomiya and Fujimi offer summer water features

Various parks in Japan are offering seasonal ways to experience water and nature during the summer heat. In Fujinomiya, the Asama-cho Friend Park features the ‘Palette Fountain,’ a limited-time water play spot located north of Aeon Mall Fujinomiya. The fountain, which operates from 10:00 to 17:00, allows children to play with water spraying from the ground. Visitors are advised to bring towels and change clothes privately, as no changing facilities are provided on-site.

In Fujimi, Kuriyatsu Park and Kuriyatsu Higashi Park offer cooler environments through natural spring water and ponds. Kuriyatsu Park preserves a valley with continuous spring water flows known locally as ‘Fudo-sama no Nagare,’ featuring a stone pagoda and a pond. Nearby, Kuriyatsu Higashi Park provides a scenic area with a pond where carp can be observed, serving as a popular walking route for local residents.
