PARLACEN promotes regional agenda for women in municipal tourism

The Central American Parliament (PARLACEN) has launched a regional agenda aimed at increasing opportunities for women through municipal tourism. The initiative seeks to strengthen women's economic autonomy and expand their participation in community development decisions.

During the first Dialogue Table, titled ‘Empowerment of women in municipal tourism development for Sustainable Regional Tourism Integration,’ held at the Dominican Republic Senate, officials established a roadmap for the rights of municipal women. This process is intended to continue at the upcoming VI Forum of Municipal Women of the Region on October 20. The event included participation from parliamentarians, mayors, diplomats, and representatives from international organizations and civil society.
