Parliament of Andalusia to resume plenary sessions in November
The Parliament of Andalusia is expected to return to its main plenary hall in November following the completion of repair works. The renovation, located within the former Hospital de las Cinco Llagas, was initiated to address ceiling detachment issues.
Ana Mestre, President of the Andalusian Parliament, reported that the project faced delays due to the use of a defective adhesive. Although the glue was initially approved and certified, it failed to resolve the structural detachment problems. Until the repairs are finalized, plenary sessions will continue to be held in the Alberto Jiménez-Becerril multipurpose room.
The current works are part of a larger restoration project for the building's facades and church elements, with a total tender budget of 4.58 million euros. Funding for these actions includes 3.43 million euros allocated to the Parliament and 1.14 million euros for the Chamber of Accounts.
